Family Fun
You will probably want to check out the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Center or Science World. You may also want to stay on Granville Island at the kid friendly (and pet friendly) Grandville Island Hotel. There is a park and a playground right next door and a kids-only mall a five-minute walk away. If you want to step outside the city limits, pack a picnic lunch and head off on a quick fifteen minute drive east of Chilliwack to the Bridal Veil Falls area. To see the falls which tumble 60 meters you have to hike along an easy trail for about another fifteen minutes.
Just the Two of You
What could be more romantic than a long walk holding hands through Vancouver’s Beautiful Stanley Park, the largest city park in Canada. There are hundreds of acres of lush green forests, pristine lakes and grassy meadows so don’t forget to bring along a gourmet picnic for two! If you stay late enough you may be able to hear the Nine O’clock Gun being fired in Stanley Park, now a Vancouver tradition, originally it was fired off to remind local fishermen of fishing time limits.
For the ultimate in relaxation take a short drive to the Harrison Hot Springs and enjoy a little bubbly!

Safety
Although Vancouver is a healthy city with clean air and water and a mild climate and it is located in Canada one of the safest countries in the world, it is always better to be prepared and not take any unnecessary risks. Even a small thing like an ear infection or a twisted ankle can wreak havoc on a holiday if you are caught unaware. Travel Insurance is an easy and convenient way of avoiding any unforeseen costs and stresses while on your vacation.
